Fall Luncheon Celebrates Students, Faculty, Scholarship Sponsors

Our 37th annual Ledger & Quill Fall Luncheon (Palmer House Hilton, Nov. 9, 2011) was the traditional celebration of friends and colleagues, students and faculty, and recent and veteran members, all assembled to recognize the many achievements of the School, DePaul and Ledger & Quill. So much was announced and recognized that co-hosts L&Q President Jim Robbs and School Director Kevin Stevens kept the program moving at a steady pace to fit in all the good news–but no one in the audience seemed to mind: The School’s Midwest Association of Hispanic Accountants (MAHA) took the national championship in the annual KPMG-ALPFA Student Case Competition; Prof. Nancy Hill was announced as the School’s most recent endowed professor, and Prof. Sandra Shelton was named our latest KPMG Alumni Professor; over 80 students are currently being supported by L&Q members, the School has over 30 scholarship funds, and L&Q is on-target for another $300,000+ year of student support. As former Dean Ron Patten once stated, “There is nothing like us in the nation.”
