The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) recently announced that Curtis C. Verschoor, CMA, CPA, CIA, CFE, ChFC, will begin his new two-year post as chair of its Committee on Ethics beginning July 1, 2014. Verschoor was one of the founding members of the Committee on Ethics. He has also authored 11 books and more than 200 journal articles on ethics, trust and sustainability. In addition, he shares his thought leadership through a monthly column in the IMA’s Strategic Finance magazine and other outlets. For the past three years (2012-2014), Verschoor has been named one of North America’s Top Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior by Trust Across America-Trust Around the World.
Closer to home, we are honored to have Verschoor as a longstanding member of Ledger & Quill and the President’s Club. He currently serves as the Emeritus Ledger & Quill Research Professor in the School of Accountancy and MIS at DePaul University. Prior to joining academia, he held positions as a senior corporate finance officer in several large international public companies, as well as being the national director of education of one of the predecessor organizations of Deloitte LLP.
