Two School of Accountancy professors were among university faculty and staff who received awards for the excellence of their work at the University’s 117th Convocation ceremony, which marked the beginning of the 2014-2015 academic year.
Hui Lin, who teaches classes in financial reporting, was presented with an Excellence in Teaching Award for her commitment to high quality instruction. Lin’s promotion to associate professor of accountancy also was announced at the event (see more about Lin’s award below).
Accountancy Professor Edwin Cohen received a Via Sapientiae Award, the university’s highest faculty-staff honor, for his many years of service to DePaul. Cohen, who retired in July, had taught at the university for more than 50 years.
